Replacement PTAC Units in Jersey City
Jersey City and Hoboken added thousands of apartments in waterfront towers over the last two decades, many with PTACs in every unit. Hudson County also has hotels near the PATH and the Turnpike, older apartment buildings in Journal Square and Bayonne, and senior housing. The towers swap 42 x 16 units. The older buildings often need a legacy chassis.

Common Jersey City replacement situations
265V tower units
Many waterfront towers run 265V to the apartments. Check the nameplate. A current GE Zoneline AZHS or AZVS covers 265V on 42 x 16 sleeves.
Legacy sleeves in older buildings
Older Hudson County buildings often carry sleeves from discontinued brands. Applied Comfort builds to fit.
Condo association approvals
Condo boards often want one model across the building. Settle the model and heat type before the first unit ships.
Delivery to Jersey City
Units ship to Jersey City from the Air Distributors warehouse in Louisville, Kentucky, or direct from manufacturer stock.
Waterfront towers usually require a freight elevator reservation, a loading dock slot, and a certificate of insurance from the carrier. Send those rules with the quote.
On multi-floor jobs, ask for units labeled by floor or line so your crew stages them without sorting.
What to send for a quote
- Model number from the existing unit's nameplate
- Sleeve width, height, and depth
- Voltage and amperage
- Heat type: electric, heat pump, or hydronic
- Quantity and delivery address
